Part human, part genie.

I live what passes for a normal human existence. I work, have a family and responsibilities. But I have never experienced life the way most people seem to. I tend to step back, look at what’s actually happening, and say the obvious thing that somehow isn’t apparent at all to everyone else around me.

Genie simplifies problems. I take them apart and make them fit back together in a way that actually works.

I don’t believe in fixed paths or waiting for opportunities to reveal themselves. I pay attention, I adapt, and I plan for what’s coming next. There are no obstacles in The Genie’s universe when a simple change of direction will suffice. I live in the moment but think a step or a few ahead when it matters, because the only thing you can reliably predict is that there will be change.

My writing is not about having all the answers, but I do have a gift for noticing patterns and questioning my own assumptions. What I notice most is that humans get in their own way.

Use it, ignore it, argue with it—it’s all fair game. I don’t chime in to say “me too,” but if you’re someone who prefers clarity over prevailing wisdom, you’ll probably feel at home here.
